How Long Does The Swine Flu Live On Clothes?

My aunt called to talk and said her two grandsons had gotten sick a few days ago. . . they have a virus, severely sore throat, high fever, one even had a bout of vomiting. . . The doctor said they had a virus, but it sounds like the swine flu to me.
maybe about a week ago, my aunt had come to visit my brother and his new baby and gave them baby clothes from her daughter’s new born who, she is also the mother of the two kids that recently got sick.
I heard there’s like an incubation time before you get sick, so maybe they had the virus before my brother got the clothes?
My brother washed the clothes before using them, but he shared it with my other brother whose about to have a baby, and since the baby isn’t born, the clothes are just sitting there in a bag.
how long does the virus live on clothes before dying?

    Two maybe three years.

  2. Mayu says:

if they’ve been washed then the virus is gone but since the virus lives on surfaces probably around 2-8 hours then it will die
